The demon king subjugation army has been preparing for some time so of course they are quick. The heroes gathering from all over Azeshion have been absorbed into the army and are marching on the border as well.
It’s all part of the plan.

This is a good opportunity since the hero academy is focused on the demon king of tyranny.

Eleonor states it matter-of-factly which is what I gathered she’d do.
Diego declared war on Deiruheido counting on the war potential of Zeshia that Eleonor can endlessly produce. Without them, the subjugation army would be overrun by the demon king army.
“I have to protect it. All of it. All of Gairadeite and all of Jergakanon.” (Eleonor)
Eleonor laughed.
“All of them are a bit stupid but they are not truly bad people. I can’t let them die.” (Eleonor)
Despite being in a very different form and very far from reincarnation her origin is still Jerga. Is this part of his sin?
“It’s complicated being a hero.” (Arnos)

My longed-for peace from 2000 years ago has finally come. Everyone is laughing and neither the humans nor the mazoku fear what tomorrow will bring.

Each of the girls in my fan union spoke up.
“We’ll also fight though we may be useless.” (fan union)
“War is unpleasant though…..” (fan union)
“I’ll do my best!” (fan union)
I turn to look at Misa and she nodded.
“Avos Dillheavia has appeared which means the mixed-race mazoku will become increasingly more vulnerable…… He’s the fake demon king so this is also my fight.” (Misa)
“I don’t want to hear that from you now. You didn’t tell me to become a subordinate so I don’t have to listen to you. Did you think I’d stop just because you’re up against Deiruheido and Azeshion? I’ll fight with you even if you antagonise the whole world.” (Sasha)
Misha nods in agreement.
“Arnos is right.” (Misha)
“Not always.” (Arnos)
“Even if it was wrong Arnos gave me life. My life is always with Arnos.” (Misha)
Finally, Ray speaks in a relaxed tone.
“You’re my friend.” (Ray)
I speak to that loyalty and friendship.
“I’m blessed with good subordinates and good friends.” (Arnos)
I don’t belong to either army so I can turn two countries into my enemy.
Over there is a mazoku from the age of myths that has the spirit god sword in his hands. It’s also reasonable to think that the hero academy has one or two trump cards.

“Sasha and Misha. I want you to seal the feet of the mazoku gathering in the west before they join the main force. Since it’s far from the border I don’t think they will attack once the chain of command is severed.” (Arnos)
The plains on the way there will be good for Sasha. She can limit their magic with her <Demon Eyes of Ruin> and Misha can create obstacles such as walls and cages using <Ibis> to hamper their progress.
“Misa and the fan union. Hide in <Fuska>, create disturbances and gather intelligence.” (Arnos)
It’s dangerous to have them on the front lines. I’ll have them serve as logistical support.
“And me?” (Ray)
“You kick the army coming from the east around a bit. Don’t let them cross the border.” (Arnos)
That’s the advance party made up of the royals who were the first to follow Avos. Even with the current Ray, this will be a tough fight but that man will crash through that wall during the battle.
“I’ll hit their main headquarters. According to what I’ve seen a huge demon king castle has been built on Eiyan hill. Avos is probably in it.” (Arnos)
Aivis speaks up.
“If I go wild he’ll have no choice but to show up.” (Aivis)

You never know whats going to happen on the battlefield but this game won’t be determined through simple power.
I’ve seen many powerful people die without doing anything.
In all honesty, you should never go easy on your enemies but even though this is purely my selfishness they all nodded without hesitation.

My prediction: Eleonor is not Jerga. She’s actually Kanon, and has been lied to about her origin. Avos is actually Jerga. The lie was so that people would waste their time looking for Kanon (not knowing the origin was right there in Eleonor) and not look for Jerga, therefore protecting Avos from being discovered.
My reason? It’s just the right amount of contortion for typical JP fiction.
Why you guys want so much that Kanon be a woman, i know that japanese authors tend to get weird sometimes, but i don’t think this one will do that. I don’t intend to be offensive btw, don’t wanna initiate a shitshow on the comments.
Well, Kanon may have been a man, but Jerga was also a man. So having the genderbend be Kanon instead of Jerga is not really the most insane thought. I would prefer Eleonor to be Kanon and not Jerga; not so Kanon could potentially be part of the harem, but because I really don’t like Jerga. And Eleonor’s personality is much more similar to Kanon’s than Jerga. Kanon and Eleonor both were willing to go through immense pain, even sacrificing themselves for the people they care about and the rest of humanity. They believed in humanity and saw that even the worst could be redeemed. I can go on and on, but you get the point.
It’s mostly the personalities that are leading me in the direction of Kanon->Eleanor and Jerga->Avos
On the other side of the arguement, Kanon could have been manipulating Arnos into his decision on the part of a greater evil plan, and the anime Kanon certainly has that vibe of the ‘good guy actually a bad guy hiding his true intentions’. But his dynamic with Jerga, Jerga’s utter dissimilarity to Eleanor and the fact the Arnos just does not seem like the patsy he would have to be for Kanon to actually be evil, these all argue against that.

If she rly was Kanon, Anos would’ve seen the origin. Plus if Elenor really was Kanon, Jerga wouldn’t have been able to bring him back since reincarnation for Kanon was self-triggering. If he didn’t want to, he won’t coem back.
I actually belive that Kanon is Avos from how he can weild the Holy sword that only Kanon can weild, there’s also the fact that out of 7 Elder demons 6 of them had SOURCES grafted into their own, Who has great Source magic that even Anos himself is impressed? Yes the Hero Kanon which coincidentally has 7 sources that he has full control over. This dosen’t automatically mean that he’s Avos since there are a lot of plot holes, if Kanon was indeed Avos why did he not recognize Arnos when they met?
Just thinking about this possibility makes me hyped for the next chapters

I don’t know if this is true, this is just a homebrewed theory of mine based on stuff I noticed when I binged it. Having all those small details remaining fresh helped me peice this theory up that some might forget if not binge read.
I think Kanon is Avos. Jerga hate demon race to much to be able to not kill them, but use them. Avos had not killed Arnos people, only killed his own people souls (at the end of tournament).
Avos (Kanon) motive may be to make Arnos hero of both, human and demons. So he changed history for Arnos to be just demon and not Demon King symbol of evil.
Just my two cents on this bet 🙂

So I have a crazy theory about this whole thing.
This author is actually the master of fakeouts and we have been juked by him a few times so I think Avos being Kanon or Jerga too obvious of a conclusion.
What actually bothers me how Avos actually went for a sword and appeared in a sword tournament the first time. Everything around him screams “swords”.
The other thing is that Evans Mana was never stated to be unusable by Mazoku, it’s just unusable by Anos, because it was made to kill him, so technically, isn’t anyone who is against him should be able to wield it?
Not just that but Shin, Anos’ right hand man is said to be able to force swords to cooperate.
So here is the thing, I think Avos is actually Shin, and is being controlled by a bad guy above him somehow. We know that Kanon died and we know that Anos died, but while Shin said he wishes to reincarnate we actually never seen him o so and first rule of anime is: If you don’t see the corpse the person is not dead and as a Mazoku he could very well be still alive.
Which would mean that Ray is also Kanon. And seeing how they promised to be friends, while shin wanted to be his underling again, it’d make more sense too.
As to why and how and to whom the overtaken demon emperors work for, I think whoever taken them over was the guy who is controlling Shin now.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add one of my key points, the mask. A masked bad guy usually means that it’s someone the main character knows, otherwise there would be no reason for the author to put a mask on the character. And since Anos did not care too much about Jerga to begin with to the point he even forgot his voice, It’s either Kanon or Shin. For the rest read my crazy theory above.
The reason the sword can’t be used by just anybody is because the holy sword chooses who wields it. So you’re right in that a demon isn’t inherently incapable of using it but so far Kanon was the only person the sword chose. Your correct that Shin could seemingly get any sword to obey him so that logic checks out. What’s working against the theory of it being Shin is what motivation would Shin have to betray Anos and want to be the Demon King? As far as we know they were best friends. I mean there’s far more evidence to support Ray being the reincarnated Shin than Kanon seeing as Kanon wasn’t really described as being particularly sword obsessed, unlike Ray and Shin (also Ray mastering a demon sword only Shin had before).
I do think whoever is Kanon or whoever is Shin will play an important part in this mystery but it’s hard to say who’s who at this point. I mean Avos wielding the godly holy sword would suggest that it’s Kanon under the mask but again, why would Kanon do this unless he was being controlled by another party.
I don’t think he’s being controlled by anyone, I rather think he wants to know if arnos spoke the truth about wanting peace because the other humans planted doubts in his head that he really wanted peace.

I think Avos may end up being Kanon. There’s a lot of points that connect when you think about it. Evans Mana, origin control on the seven old demon emperors and a few others. However could his personality distort this much just because he saw the ugly side of humanity and his teacher? I also cannot wait for how the author will fill in the details, if my theory proves correct
