I fire <Geo Greys> and in an instant, both the normal water and the holy water are vaporised.
As if total night had come the holy lake continued to burn under the jet black sun.

Killing or being killed means someone else took your/person’s life which resulted in you/person being dead, but if you are not dead, you can’t be killed. On that note, there is many thing that are worse than death and it differs from person to person. Zeres had pride and confidence, which was crushed by Arnos constantly killing him and resurrecting him, he felt pain, fear and felt overwhelmed as he couldn’t do anything about it. That why it was way to break him. For Emilia, becoming something you hate and contempt the most in your life and knowing you will never change back, also that even if you reincarnate, you still be the same. Not sure why you are so upset as to call the character a loser.
Though, to your point, I think death and resurrection is his last resort. He killed the guy in the beginning of the story accidentally at first, but the contract forced him to take the action of kill the resurrect.
If looking at it from the perspective of the character, perhaps there is a risk involved. The window is 3 seconds. And while he seems all powerful, he admits himself on several occasions that that is not the case. Even telling Misha he may one day need her help. So by that logic, what if something happens after killing ALL of them and he cannot being ALL of them back in time?
Not to mention. How boring would his life be if all he did was kill and resurrect? That would not create strong believers or subordinates. That will create individuals who will constantly search for a means of over coming their violent oppressor.
From the perspective of the Author, how boring would it be for them AND his readers to show only his killing and resurrecting ability. It negates the value if the story, the characters and the plot. I certainly wouldn’t read it, nor expect someone to spend time translating it.

As others have said, he vaporized an entire lakes worth of water. Not much else would demonstrate his power better. The only reason to cast Brave would be to beat the heroes using their own spell. But the point here is to show the strength of demons which the humans are deriding. Using the human’s spell against them wouldn’t fit the message Arnos is trying to convey.
It would be useless, I’d explain how brave works but I don’t remember if the explanation was given
Arnos defies Logic. gives the casters power to the subordinates. gives power to the caster from the subordinates.
At first thought that means they cancel each other out if cast at the same time by the same person. Buuuuut….
What if instead, using fusion magic, it could be formulated to result in a loop which served to amplify power exponentially…. or infinitely? Power given is also received. Thus with Arnos being so much stronger than the subordinats, more is given to the subordinants and thus more is received by Arnos. Now loop, over and over to infinity. Especially if he freezes time for everyone else but him and his subordinates. They could exponentially create power in literally no time at all.

Kind of feels like they are rushing it too much.
